I don’t know about you, but sometimes it can be incredibly difficult to name a new dog.  I once called a dog “Puppy” for about two months until I finally came up with a real name for her.  After all that waiting to find the right one, it turned out to be a bland, dull “Annie,” but it was very fitting for her.

According to petbabynames.com, a child site of babynames.com, they surveyed 20,000 members to come up with a list of the most popular dog names, and here are some of them, beginning with boy dog names:

That’s funny… I can remember childhood dogs with four of those names, so evidently they are timeless classics.

For the girls, the top 10 popular dog names are:

6. Maggie
7. Bailey
8. Chloe
9. Sophie
10. Lola

I wonder if Bella has anything to do with Twilight.  Some of those names for girl dogs are probably in the top 10 for baby names too, such as Chloe and Sophie, which I know I have seen before in top lists.
