This week I have been pet sitting and I have come to the conclusion that pit bulls can be perfect pets for children. I have two children and the puppy is not playful when she is around them instead she is more protective like.
I have been one of those people who have always been cautious about certain breeds, such as pits, when it comes to children because of the violent demeanor that we have been presented with about them. However, the puppy that I am pet sitting this week has turned out to be a real sweetheart around the children and has no once tried to attack them or anything. Obviously, she has been around the children on occasions but this is the first time she has been around 24/7. I have been thinking about getting a puppy and now I feel that a pit bull could possibly be one of the options. After doing some research as to why people choose them as pets I definitely have a different view about them.
Why People Consider Pit Bulls as a Family Pet
· Pit bulls are very affectionate: They love wagging their tails and licking. Some of them even like to sit on your laps
· Easy to care for: They generally only need to be brushed occasionally and they do not do a lot of shedding as some of the smaller, hairier breeds will.
· People orientated: If you do not train them to be mean and vicious you may actually be surprised at how friendly they will be.
