Sometimes when furry friends are sick it can be very easy for them to hide their symptoms. They will trick us into believing that everything is fine when in reality it is not fine at all. The reason they are able to do this is because even if they have been a pet all of their lives it is still in their genes for them to act as though they are in the wild. We all know that when they are in the wild they are never expected to show any fear or signs or sickness or else this could be the end of their lives. So, how do we know when they are sick or not?
· Skipping meals: It is very uncommon for any animal to skip meals. So, if you notice that your dog has not eaten but once a day and they normally eat more this is the first sign that something is wrong with them.
· Drinking excessive amounts of water: If you notice that you cannot seem to keep your dog’s water bowl full this is a sign that they may be becoming a diabetic or even have something going on with their kidneys. You will definitely want to take them in to see a vet right away.
· Dull coat: If your dog’s coat begins to look dull and loses its healthy shine this is another way for you to tell that they are not feeling well. Their coats should always be shiny and very full of life.
