Your pet has its good days and bad days just like humans but even worse there are days that are just outright dangerous. It seems that pet owners who enjoy the holidays sometimes forget that this could turn out to be a hazardous time for their pets. Veterinary Pet Insurance found that most of the dangerous days happen on the weekends and holidays. The most dangerous times for your pets are such holidays such as:
- Labor Day
- Memorial Day
- Easter
- Christmas
- Last Day of School and the First two days of school
June has proven to be the month that is the most dangerous for your pet. December is the safest month saving for the couple of days around Christmas. The summer months are when your pet and you are the most active and that is when your pet will have the most accidents. During the summer you will play outdoors with your pet or perhaps leave your pet outside unattended.
The pet dog will find things to investigate and sometimes end up in an accident. It is good to make sure that your pet is well fenced in so that they cannot stray to the nearby neighbor or get on a roadway where they could be hit by a vehicle. Pets just like humans like to eat during picnics it is a good idea when you bring your pet to family outings that you bring them the right foods keeping them away from the picnic foods.
